David is a Bolivian-Canadian film & television director based in Vancouver, Canada. His movies screen regularly to audiences worldwide, including major television networks such as Hallmark Channel (U.S.), Lifetime Television (U.S.), TF1 (France), SKY (Great Britain), and the W Network (Canada).
A prolific television director, David has helmed over a dozen holiday and romance movies. His projects have received several nominations in lead performance categories, notably from the Canadian Screen Awards, the Leo Awards, and the JOEY Awards. David's most recent project, Christmas at the Golden Dragon (2022), premiered during Hallmark's 2022 Countdown to Christmas.
In addition to directing, David has overseen the script development of several movies for Reel One Entertainment, including The Picture of Christmas (2021), A Snapshot of Forever (2022), Mistletoe Match (2022), and Love's Secret Ingredient (2023). He has also executive produced documentary projects for British Columbia's The Knowledge Network and Telus OptikTV.
David is an alumnus of the prestigious TIFF Filmmaker Lab, was a JETS Talent Lab participant at the 68th Berlinale, and received the Telus STORYHIVE Banff Fellowship. His feature projects have received development funding from Telefilm Canada and Bell Media's Harold Greenberg Fund.
A Film Production graduate of Vancouver Film School, David also holds a degree from the Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia.
He is represented by Meridian Artists in Toronto and Los Angeles.
